Watercolours of Venice – the richness of the colours, the hidden corners of the city and the beautiful reflections of the canals have inspired artists for centuries. Carlo – a painter who lives in Venice – continues this tradition, capturing the city’s unique atmosphere and light in his watercolours and oil paintings. Even his abstract works are inspired by his love for this magical city. Carlo’s original paintings are available from La Pedrera both as original artworks and high quality digital prints.
Watercolours of Venice
Carlo uses honey-based colours made by the English company Winsor & Newton, recognized as the best for their brightness and durability. The watercolor paper is produced by the Italian firm Fabriano, famous for its robustness as a support and the quality of the cotton used to make it.
The prints, produced in Carlo’s studio, use the same Fabiano paper, while the Epson inks guarantee durability, brightness, and resistance to light.
To further increase the durability of the original artworks or prints, we suggest using a frame with a glass covering. Visit the La Pedrera shop or our online store to view a selection of Carlo’s paintings.
